Build from source

Requirements

You will need Git, uv, and a C++20 compiler. On macOS, install Xcode Command Line Tools; on Windows, use MSVC Build Tools; on Linux, install a C++ toolchain. The compiler builds the included EAC database reader.

Build and run

Open a terminal in the OpenAudioCopy source folder and run:

git submodule update --init --recursive
uv sync --locked
uv run openaudiocopy

The first two commands prepare the application and its dependencies. uv can install the required Python 3.14. The final command opens OpenAudioCopy.

To start it again, run uv run openaudiocopy from the same folder.
