Disc images and CUE sheets
An audio image stores an album’s audio in one file. Its CUE sheet records where tracks and index points begin, so a compatible player can select individual tracks. A CUE sheet can also describe an album saved as separate track files.

A pregap is audio before a track’s main start. It may contain music or speech as well as silence.
| Gap setting | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Append Gaps To Previous Track | The pregap plays at the end of the previous file. Requires a player that supports noncompliant CUE sheets. |
| Append Gaps To Next Track | Each file starts with that track’s own pregap, followed by its main audio. |
| Leave Out Gaps | The pregap audio is omitted. The CUE records its duration as silence. |
For hidden audio before track 1, use the settings in Gaps and hidden audio.
Create a CUE sheet without extracting audio
Section titled “Create a CUE sheet without extracting audio”For audio already extracted, choose Action → Create CUE Sheet and select its gap arrangement. OpenAudioCopy detects gaps if needed. Save the sheet beside the audio files, using their exact filenames in the sheet.
